Like many of you, Christmas is my favorite season of the year. There is just a different kind of excitement and so much happy hormones that my body is giving me when Christmas is just around the corner.
Growing up, Christmas was always a special occasion in our family. My parents would always double their efforts to surprise us with wonderful gifts and my dad would never miss out preparing sandwiches for his forever favorite cold cuts.
When I was younger, like any other kids, I get super giggly when my mom cleans the house with Christmas songs in the background, decorates the Christmas tree, puts on Christmas lights in the windows, wraps gifts and cooks good food. But as I grew older, I can’t seem to get used to Christmas. I still get so excited and giggly when I hear and feel christmas in the air. So, unlike what other people think and say, Christmas is for children, I know in my heart that Christmas is for everybody. ❤️
But you see, there are many special occasions throughout the year. To name a few, we have New Years, Thanksgiving day (in the US– but hey who says we cant celebrate thanksgiving, theres so much to be thankful for), Birthdays, Family reunions, and many more. But there is just something about Christmas that makes it more special. There is JOY in this season.😍
There is that inner peace, happiness in the outside and Joy in our hearts when we celebrate Christmas. This is not because of the Christmas songs, the colorful decorations and good food, its because this season exist because our Lord and Saviour chose to exist with us in this world.
JESUS is the reason for this Season. 💕👆
Some people make this season less than what it really is. Whether you believe in Jesus or not, He is the very reason why we celebrate Christmas
Christmas is a reminder and a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
How we celebrate Christmas speaks a lot of it.
🎁 Gift giving- Generosity and selflessness comes from Jesus Christ, infact He is the perfect form of generosity and selflessness.
🎤 Christmas songs- Music and art is a form of worship. We worship and give thanks to God for sending us His only begotten son to save us.
🎆 Christmas Lights- There is no other light that gives color to our lives but the light of Jesus Christ. He is the Light that darkness can never overcome.
👨👩👧👦 Family gatherings- Love and unity among families prove the existence of God. God is love and whoever does not know love, does not know God.
And most importantly, Christmas is not just a one time season in a year. Christmas is in our hearts. ❤️
We make our hearts right and pure unto God and give way for the birth of Jesus in our hearts. When we welcome him in our hearts, Joy, Peace, Love and Hope is always in our lives. Christmas day in this world is just a representation and a reminder of the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour in this world and in our hearts. 💕
